Quran has blessed us with its teachings and all that it has shown us. Muslims of today have different life as the Muslims centuries ago did. But still the Quran covers every possible aspect of out lives and all of this is the sign that you are gifted by God with this sacred holy book of Quran to lead your life in piousness and peace.

“Indeed in this there is a remembrance for those who have a living heart, listen attentively and are awake to taking heed.” [Qaf: 37]

Allah Almighty has given us signs and has given different references in the holy Quran of old civilizations and other nations that use to live among us. The Quran tells us that why these people vanished from the face of the earth. Some were involved in wrongdoings and others were so blinded by evil that they did not realize what they were doing. Ibn ‘Abbaas, the Prophet Muhammad’s (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace) companion, said the following regarding this verse: “A people who were living a life of affluence and arrogance strayed from the right path by turning away from the truth. They were living a life of hardship due to their notion that Allah (created them, but) is somehow not involved in providing them their sustenance. (This belief of self-sufficiency) stemmed from their negative opinion and denial towards Him. For if a person rejects Allah, holds false suspicions and mistrusts Him, his life becomes difficult and restricted, and that is the hardship (which Allah has referred to).” [4]

Ramadan, to many it is the thought that ISLAM prohibits certain things during the month of Ramadan and this is true to an extent but for all the believers and learners out there you are to know that Islam does not restrict you to have sexual intercourse with wife husband at night. Meaning that night is not restricted but day is and that is the time when you are fasting. Read: Ramadan tips.

We are made this more obvious by Allah (SWT) as Quran tells us: “It is made lawful for you to go unto your wives on the night of the fast. They are raiment for you and ye are raiment for them. Allah is aware that ye were deceiving yourselves in this respect and He hath turned in mercy toward you and relieved you.”

“So hold intercourse with them and seek that which Allah hath ordained for you, and eat and drink until the white thread becomes distinct to you from the black thread of the dawn. Then strictly observe the fast till nightfall and touch them not, but be at your devotions in the mosques. These are the limits imposed by Allah, so approach them not. Thus Allah expounds His revelations to mankind that they may ward off (evil)” (Al-Baqarah 2:187).

It is confirmed that `A’ishah said: The Prophet would kiss and embrace while he was fasting, for he had the most control of all of you over his desires. ‘Umar said: I was excited one time and I kissed [my wife] while I was fasting.

I went to the Prophet and said: ‘Today I committed a horrendous act—I kissed while I was fasting.’ The Prophet asked: ‘What do you think of rinsing with water while fasting?’I said: ‘There is nothing wrong with that.’ The Prophet said: ‘Then what is the question about?’

However, as said earlier such actions should be avoided as one may eject or arouse further which leaves one fast broken and punishment or kufarah shall be imposed.

The series of Ramadan Dua continue in my first post (RAMADAN DUA – HELPING YOU TO ACHIVE BLESSINGS (1 OF 6) presented you the very first five days of Dua’s for the very special and blessed month of Ramadan.

It is said that Dua is one of its kind which Allah (SWT) Has blessed the mankind with as it’s an opportunity that cannot be changed and it can be the very effective way to seek forgiveness, blessings and appropriate understanding of your belief from The One & Only, Allah (SWT).

RAMADAN DUA – DAY 6:

Translation: (Allah, on this day, do not let me abase myself by incurring Your disobedience, and do not strike me with the whip of Your punishment, keep me away from the causes of your anger by and Your Power, O the ultimate wish of those who desire.)

RAMADAN DUA – DAY 7:

Translation: (Allah, on this day, help me with its fasts and prayers, and keep me away from mistakes and sins of the day, grant me that I remember You continuously through the day, by Your assistance, O the Guide of those who stray.)

RAMADAN DUA – DAY 8:

Translation: (Allah, on this day, let me have mercy on the orphans, and feed [the hungry], and spread peace, and keep company with the noble-minded, O the shelter of the hopeful.)

RAMADAN DUA – DAY 9:

Translation: (Allah, on this, grant me a share from Your mercy which is wide, guide me towards Your shining proofs, lead me to Your all encompassing pleasure, by Your love, O the hope of the desirous.)

RAMADAN DUA – DAY 10:

Translation: (Allah, on this day, make me, among those who rely on You, from those who You consider successful, and place me among those who are near to You, by Your favor, O goal of the seekers.)

When a person is told about something of great importance it is made it clear of all the advantages and potential disadvantages, but there are often certain occasions in life where one cannot ignore the fact of advantages without any disadvantages. Well a good example would be of the Night of Power the SHAB-E-QADR – THE SPECIAL NIGHT ONE OF ITS KIND.

Yes, that is right the prayer of this night is better than the prayers of thousand months and this is where you are advised to pray and ask for forgiveness and mercy in the given special divine night of Shab-e-Qadr, the night of power, in the month of Ramadan. This is the night in which the destiny of this night is decided.

“I seek pardon from God and ask for penitence from Him”.  It is reported from the Prophet (PBUH) that by the time the recite will rise from his place Allah (SWT) will have forgiven him and his parents. Try to first be really repentant for serious mistakes done, sincerely ask for forgiveness either by:

(a) recalling 70 different sins OR (b) feeling remorseful for 10 sins of the 7 main organs: eyes, ears, tongue, hands, mouth, stomach + private parts OR (c) some particular sins that you may have committed repeatedly OR (d) recalling the variety of punishments of different sins and finally resolve NOT TO Repeat them in the future, then only can one realistically expect to deserve the reward the HP has promised.

“Whoever performs this act will surely be forgiven by the Almighty even before here rises from his place”.
