What Are Good People And Bad People According To The Quran Verses?

(In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful, all praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger)

Quran, Chapter 3, Verses 31 and 32: “Say: if you love God, then follow me, God will love you and forgive you your faults, and God is forgiving, merciful”

“Say: obey God and the messenger; but if they turn back, then surely God does not love the unbelievers” Islam in one sense is different from some other major religions of the world. The picture of God that has been depicted in Quran, as we Muslims all believe, is a combination of love toward good people and aversion toward bad people. This has been repeated in at least 40 verses of holly Quran with a clear definition for good people and bad people. This is where you are to be very precise in following the path which has been shown by God’s Messenger, by our Beloved Prophet (SAWS) and this is where if you are in love with God, ALLAH (SWT) you are determined to follow the appropriate path according to his preaching’s  and this is what will result in Receiving his Love, but do beware that it is stated that people who do not do good and act the prescribed path and offer their submission to the One and Only ALLAH (SWT) they are not to be loved by The Almighty God.

For your information what does Islam recognize as doing good and what is bad the following points are compiled to explain you the good acts favored by God.

Others, based on Quran, are people who:

  • guard themselves against sin
  • judge fairly
  • fight in God’s way
  • purify themselves
  • turn much to God
  • trust in God
  • and are patient

On the other hand, God does not love the person who is:

  • an unbeliever
  • arrogant
  • cruel
  • unfaithful and ungrateful
  • exceeding the limits
  • extravagant
  • mischief-maker
  • treacherous
  • and exulting in riches
